LR2 Wins 2007 Compact SUV of The Year

Land Rover's LR2, a premium compact SUV model, has driven away with the 'Compact SUV of the Year' Award presented at the inaugural Car Middle East Award ceremony held in Dubai recently.
The LR2 came out on top, beating stiff competition. Accepting the award Marcelle Duncan, Marketing Manager for Land Rover Middle East said: 'We are very excited about this award as Land Rovers are the world's finest All Terrain Vehicles and the Middle East market is an important one for the Land Rover brand. We are enjoying year-on-year success for our popular premium SUV models and the LR2 presents an opportunity for us to attract a new and younger target audience to the brand.'
The LR2 is new from the ground up and sets a new benchmark for premium compact SUVs. It has a dynamic design, purposeful stance, smart and spacious interior and an abundance of advanced technologies that help it fit comfortably next to Land Rover's other premium SUV models: The Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and LR3.
The vehicle has already been crowned 'SUV of the Year' by the well respected BBC Top Gear team and awarded top five star rating in the European New Car Assessment Programme (ENCAP) for adult passenger and child protection safety categories.
