LR4 Gets a (Final?) Refresh in 2015

Land Rover’s LR4 is set to receive a raft of updates that will bring the SUV into line with the latest additions from the British automaker. This means efficiency gains across the range, LED-enhanced headlights and a much more luxurious interior.
What we can ascertain from these spy shots is that the updated LR4, which is expected to arrive on the market early next year as a 2015 model, will feature new lights, new side mirrors and tweaked bumpers.
In the U.S., the LR4 is currently offered with one powertrain: a 5.0-liter V-8 rated at 375 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque.
For the updated model, expect this unit to be joined by Land Rover’s new supercharged 3.0-liter V-6. The supercharged V-6 has already been announced for the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models where it delivers 340 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque.
Another change for the 2015 LR4 will be a standard eight-speed automatic instead of the current six-speeder. This alone should help improve the SUV's fuel economy.
For the interior, the updates implemented on the 2013 LR2 hint at some of the changes we can expect on this updated LR4. Look for a revised dashboard, a new steering wheel and soft-touch materials all around.
